Quick post.
So I was watching the 2011 MMVA's today, while tweeting all about it and whatnot, and I was reading this girl's tweets about the MMVA's. She was just like me, saying little comments about who and what and why and where or whatever, EXCEPT THAT during The Black Keys' performance she was all like, 'omg get offfff no one knows you' or like 'some unknown band playing, nexxxt'
and oh.my.gosh. I was like, can I slap this bitch?
Seriously though, if you don't know a band, then don't say shit okay? Get f*cking music educated. The Black Keys is an amazing mainstream-indie band who have come a long way, and who produce genuinely good music. I'm sure this bitch listens to like crappy no-tune pop songs like Alyssa Reid, or those rock bands that all sound the same such as Neverest, Hinder, Daughtry, I don't even f*cking know, they're all the same. And maybe, I myself am being ignorant for saying this but seriously though, let's get real here. Don't hate on a good band, when you listen to sucky bands. I'm done.. Bye.

This past hour hit me with something. A realization, if you will.

Maybe it's the over-thinking talking, or maybe I'm just facing the normal teenage terror question: "Who am I?". Actually, I shouldn't label this question as a teenager thing, but rather a universal wondering that is faced at all ages.

Damn I sound smart. I didn't notice until now the eloquent half moon goin on outside in the sky. Floating, hovering, shining bright & beautifully. It's fucking marvelous. --And yes, I had to add in the F word in there, because that literally is what the moon looks like right now.

Anyways, back to the topic, I was reading through the February 2009 posts on hurr, and maan was I ever witty! Like, I was actually decent at blogging. I don't know about now--I think I've lost almost all credibility when the Pod turned into like--diary entries, and venting; this included. /The moon's hiding.

So basically just the simple act of reading and reminiscing (RR), that somehow catapulted me into thinking, that I've lost myself. Or have I just changed? I mean, a year or two ago, I was 10 pounds lighter, had blunt bangs & a center part, wore no makeup, and had my own individual style. I had passions. Photoshop, photography, web design, reading, blogging, snowboarding, making musc, film, fashion, dance... and now? Now, those passions are merely interests. It's--sad. Where did my passions dissolve away too, huh? Like, what haaappened to me.

I remember, when I had small little dreams of becoming a music/fashion/personal (basically mixed media) blog with an audience of hundreds. Hahaaah, I had like one follower at the time and it was my sister. Or when I would learn all the kpop dances & me/tiff/sham actually got up off our lazy asses and did a dance for Youth4Youth and it was definitely one of the best experiences of the year. You see.. remarkable things like that. Where did they go maayyn! Like shit, I used to make films. Well, short little videos for assignments at school, but one summer me&erin made a Lady Gaga music video.. I never edited it though, but I still have the raw footage. I wanted to start a Youtube channel with my friends, and it would've documented our average daily lives. Or when I took up learning piano and I almost played at my Gr.8 graduation ceremony, but then realized I sucked. But it was okay. I was ambitious. I saved about $200 to buy a DSLR camera a few years ago.. never happened, but y'know.. I tried. I actually made pretty sick banners & edits on Photoshop and shit. Idunnooo. I mean, who's to say I can't still do those things, right? I think I might have to take up all those things again. But what sucks is that when I say I'm gonna do something.. I usually end up not doing it. Hmmph.

So how did I get here then..? I have always been a lazy person, but probably what happened is just that lazy blob pulled me under its wing, and the rest took care of itself from there. I'm so tumblr-influenced, and waahh kind of lost my individuality in there.

Then again, maybe I'm not worsening, I'm just uhh, evolving. I'm just more hiphop and less hipster. I listen to a lot of rap, and I dress kind of street-influenced. I know more about dance styles, and I do crosswords now.

...Actually, it's pretty hard to think of the positve aspects in this situation. I don't really like this new me as much. Don't get me wrong--I think my personality has stayed relatively the same, but my attitude is completely different.. I should get to steppin all of this. :)

Sorry for the... 4 month hiatus.. err.. not really hiatus, seeing as I basically flopped for tumblr. Anywayss, it's le time to rant.

Is it lame that I only hang out once a weekend..?
Half the time, I even spend the weekend by myself?

Idk.. I was fine with it really. But then while eating brunch today.. a comment my sister made really got to me. She noted that she talks to my one friend more than I do. I simply explained that I don't really text her, or anybody for that matter, cause I only get 250 texts a month so I dont like to waste them..
Not a very valid excuse for drifting apart from someone who was originally just my friend then became more one with my sister. Anyhow. Although it was an uncomfortable conversation, I was still decenetly fine. But then, my sister remarked, "this is why you're a loner."

Then shit hit the floor. I got up and smacked her with all my might--
Nawwh, I'm jokes. But.. still. That hurt.

I then had the sudden urge to hang oout with someone, just to prove I wasn't a loner.
I called Martha, but she didn't pick up..
I guess you could classify me as a loner.

Another thing that got to me was when I was camming with my friend on msn today, and they asked what I was doing today, and I said, "nothing.. chilling.. homework" and they jokingly said, "is that all you do.. homework?" and at the time I was fine, I was like, "yeaah maang."

But now I'm all like effing overthinking & depressed.

But then again, what's wrong with being a loner?
Loners can be cool. Like.. Emma Stone in Easy A.. she spent the whole weekend singing to Pocketful of Sunshine, and she was pree damn cool.

I dunnoooo, I guess in the whole grand scheme of things, it really doesn't matter how booming your social life is. Just be yourself and have confidence, and life will turn out fine. Or so I hope.

On an even bigger scale, if you think about it, complaining about shit like this is utterly pointless. The situation could be a whole fucking lot worse. There are kids who are bullied, who have broken families, who are starving, abused, dying in the world. And here I am, whining about only hanging out once a faackin weekend. And okay, I'll give you the fact that it is a long weekend.. but honestly. Who gives a flying shit.

Isn’t it sad how my ‘bestfriend’ never texts me except for homework, and this kid I barely know texts me everyday? Daaamn, what happened? Shit, I need to get her back LOL.

While I’m on the topic.. it really bugs me (grinds my gears! :D) when girls be like, ‘I miss my bestfriend’ who’s not really their bestfriend. It’s just some guy they had strong feelings for, and told them everything cause they thought the guy was trustworthy and the girl thought they could fall in love, or some shit. stfu. You’re not bestfriends. Get over it.

School starts in a week. Actually less than a week... 5 days. Blehhhh..
I've actually never wanted summer-to-not-end this much in my lifeee.
In english class, we read this poem that conveyed us as humans always eager for the future. Like for example, "I can't wait for next Friday!" or "I just want to grow up, and live my own life." or "one more hour..."
and I suppose that's true for the most part.
But I found myself wanting to stay in this state foreverrrr. Hahaha, maybe not forever, but atleast 2 more months pweasee?

ANYWAY. I decided I should have a different outlook on school. On the bright side.. TV shows will be starting again! Aaand.. what else? New classes = new people = new experiences = FRESSH :D
Also I really want to work harder this year. But i dunno, usually I have a good intuition at the start of something big like a new year, or a new month, or something. This new school year, I'm not getting exactly the best hunches right now..

Lucid Dreaming

The idea of lucid dreaming kind of got me a little bit scared last night, not gonna lie. All these darn teenagers are trying to do it! Why?? Okay, well I can see the fun in it... but what I've heard things like if you look in a mirror it will turn into a nightmare. WHAT IF YOU CAN'T WAKE UP! What if you accidentally make your dream into a scary one, just by thinking 'I hope this dream doesn't go bad.' or 'I hope i don't get attacked'. But okaay... if you have the guts :)

SIMPLICITY OF LUCID DREAMING:

It’s amazingly awesome…you have to experience it for yourself.
Here are the rules set in a simple format. There are other ways to do it, but this is the WILD (Wake Induced Lucid Dream) way. Do it in the afternoon for a nap, or after about 4 hours of sleep, otherwise it will be difficult to accomplish.

* Lay in a comfortable position.

* Relax all your muscles. Imagine them being numbed to where you can’t move them.

* After about 30 minutes of your eyes being closed and not moving a single muscle (don’t control your breathing, either. Let your body take control and breathe by itself), you will start to itch or feel the urge to roll over or move. This is your unconscious mind’s way of seeing if you are still awake. If you ignore these urges, and remain still, your mind will eventually think you are asleep and disconnect itself from your body and you will enter sleep paralysis.

* You will see colors, hear voices and sounds, etc. Stay calm, and remain still. This is the transition between wake and sleep. If you freak out or get excited, you will wake up. Eventually, these colors, shapes, voices, etc. will go away.

* Open your eyes. You are now in the dream world, a realm that exists within your mind. Pinch your nose, you can still breathe. Touch your hands, they will go through eachother. Do a few simple things you normally could not do in real life to make sure you are dreaming. Make sure to stay calm so you don’t wake up.

* Go do whatever the fuck you want to.

I've become quite the tumblr addict now, actually... I am debating on whether I should get one.. if I do, then The Zoot Pod will be dead. But I like all the funny pictures and heartbroken teens who fill their tumblrlogs with confession-type quotes, or whatever. The idea is intriguing.

Alright, well I guess I better unpack my luggage from Florida... it's been sitting on the floor of my room for.. 4 or 5 days now. My room is sooo messy!!! And on top of that, it's sooo hot! HOT AND MESSYY!!! ...ROOM. LOL, don't make it dirty, you sicko.

On Sunday August 8th theres was Z 103.5's Summer Rush music thing with artists like Hedley, LMFAO, Jay Sean, Stereos, Blake McGrath, Girlicious, B.O.B, Faber Drive (eww), JLS, and more.I think this was held at Canada's Wonderland? Or maybe they were just sponsoring... where is the Kingston Theatre, or whatever it's called. Then, from Friday August 13th to August 20 there is the After Dark Film Festival which is screening The Human Centipede! I wanna see this movieeee! The main reason being because this guy 'Patchy'in my grade posted the trailer on facebook and everyone watched it and went crazy. But it's not in theatres, just at this film fest, and i wanna see itttt. So ya, there's a lot of hype on this movie. I also wanna see The Last Exorcist which is screening there too. Not just these two movies, but just being at a film festival in general sounds & seems kinda cool. Sorry, Toronto Film Festival*
On the 13th, there's a rave.. but it seems pretty sketchy so uhhh, ya. OH! CNE is baaack too! Or if you prefer the long name, Canadian National Exhibition. Anyone wanna join me? Tickets are $16, not too shabby. I'd rather the CNE than the Ptbo Ex (anyday!). What else is happeningg?? *Checks iPod calendar* Danny Fernades is performing in Sauga on the 21st! I just came back from a pree chillaxed vacay in the sunshine state! The weather was glorifying, and...and.. it was fun :) Huh, i dont really have much to say on thiss... I went to Seaworld's Aquatica for the secondth year in a row, and they had 2new rides, so yeee :) but most of my stay was in Vero beach where we borrowed my Auntie's second house, and just kindof lived there for a few days. Hahahahaa, anyways!

Soooooo guess what? Today is the day that I recieve, my special late Christmas presents. They are 3 Korean CD's. These albums I have declared NOT to put on my iPod until I get the albums, so I've been waiting since like June to have them , heehehehe. The first one is 2NE1's First Mini Album. It is only an EP, so there are merely 7 songs. That's less than Lady Gaga's The Fame Monster! The second one is G-Dragon's first solo album, Heartbreaker. This album has gone through a lot; plagiarism & copyright issues, and even being labeled as 'innapproprate for miners' (well... at least for people in Korea). No offense, but I feel like North America can handle the concepts in Heartbreaker. I mean... look at the Pussycat Dolls, and HAVE YOU SEEN JEREMIH'S NEW VIDEO FOR HIS SONG RAINDROPS?! But I respect the reserved-ness of Korea's society; that's actually better, so... moving on. The last album I got is T-ara's Absolute First Album. it's like a freaking book (hardcover, might I add) and it's like really long, but you know, it's still awesome! I've never seen packaging like these 3 CD's in my life before. You know why? I'm not racist, but those asians are darn creative, aren't they? Or maybe thir companies arejust plain rich. Each of these CD's cost less than $20! Like that's amazing value for this kind of packaging, it's unbelievable.

When I first received them, I was taking a nap since 3 and it was 6 when my dad called me downstairs. I woke up with panic, shook my head out, and opened my eyes real wide, so it didn't look like I just woke up, because I'm not supposed to be sleeping. I came down and there they were; my 3 albums. I gasped, I smiled, and then i ran upstairs yelling out "I NEED MY CAMERA! WHERE IS MY CAMERA?!" So after messing up my entire room looking for the camera, I thought to myself, Mom. I went downstairs, jerked all the CD's away from my dad's arms (*exaggeration*), thanking him, then running upstairs to celebrate the arrival of 'my snowglobe collection' (Just Friends reference). I call my mom, and confirm that she does infact have the camera, then I take my iPod and tweet, "I GOT MY LATE CHRISTMAS GIFTS! 2NE1 FIRST MINI ALBUM, GDRAGON'S HEARTBREAKER, & T-ARA ABSOLUTE FIRST ALBUM!!!!!!! :D <3 " only to realize that I was on my sister's account! Ugh, frustrating!! I turn on my computer, but then I couldn't find my glasses. I found my glasses, but then my comuter froze. FINALLY I get on twitter, fixed up my twitter mess, then here I am blogging about my presents. Then, I tried to upload the pictures of the albums, and I was going to, but I accidentally pressed cancel!!! *sigh* What an adventure ehh? Happy New Year guys!

*Note: I accidentally dropped some food in my keyboard and when i tried to get it out, three 6's appeared on my screen. Freaky! Yes I'm a littel superstitious, but how can you blame me? That's really freaky!*

Just watched Where The Wild Thongs Are. It was great! I actually loved it a lot! The kid who plays Max is so cute! And the monsters were scary! Oh and I apologize for my lack of writing skills. I really can't write anything anymore. But no guys, like actually, this movie was soo good! Like The Book! And the soundtrack, is ~~shoplift-worthy~~. I mean you should buy it 'cause it's that good. (I'm not being sarcastic if thats what it seems like) When the movie started, I was just thinking to myself about how people told me it was okay. And its always great to have low expectations, isn't it!

The story starts off with a pretty lonely kid named Max--oh, and wild. One night he goes crazy and runs away into a land of 'Wild Things'. He favours one of them, Carol (guy or girl? I still don't know) and he becomes their king. These creatures fall apart pretty quickly and have their own problems like anyone else on this earth. Problems like worrying if the sun will die. Can max bring them all together and be the best king they've ever had? or will he fail miserably?

Ohh man, I can't write a summary if it counted on my life. There you go; that's my sh*t review. Overall, pretty solid movie. Great casting, soundtrack, lighting. Not as iconic/classic/legendary as I hoped it would be (like the book is), but it's done the story (by Maurice Sendak) justice. Very deep and thought-provoking Max, this angry little child should be this year's role model for little boys everywhere. I can now see into my little cousins's odd mind. What a cool movie, huh?

Thought: I would laugh if the film was exactly like the book. :D

wowww did this day take a turn for the worse or what? I feel like I'm left in Quadrant 4 on a math coordinate grid! I wake up and theres snow and Im all happy today despite bombing my test yesterday. I come home feeling happy and was making a card for my dad's b-day (today), and also about to blog about how i felt the upcoming month was gonna be great BUT then my dad comes up and tells me I have to fix this promotion sign thing I previously made for my mom's business. I already fixed it like 5 times already so I was kind of ticked, cuz I had to start over in order to fix it. Then as I'm doing that, my friend calls for math help, and shes a talker so we talked for idk, 45 mins. After that I totally forgot about the card and was doing stupid time-wasting things on the computer. My dad comes up asking why I forgot about his birthday. I didn't forget, I'm sorry! And he's REALLY mad. :(

Wow. That's actually quite scary.

You know what? I feel like Twitter is my own like lil mini blog now. That's probably why I don't blog anymore. Right now I'm listening to a crappy Tegan & Sara song and forcing myself to eat a large box of Halloween Smarties from last year. its actually pretty gross. and then thirst ruins the moment. I just took a sip of water that tasted like MONEY - what is that about??? And no, I'm not implying that the water tastes like I'm gonna be rich or anything, of course not. What I mean is that it literally tastes like a bunch of dirty pennies. Yummeehh, isn't it? Oh! And now I'm listening to a fairly good Tegan & Sara song - nope, the song ended. What's this playing now? Not just a country song, but a BANJO SONG?!?! Asian disgrace!! *SLAP.*

Last night was my school's halloween dance!!! wooooooo! (Why am I still listening to the banjo song?? **slap on both cheeks-face cheeks of course, perv. or am i the only one who thought of butt cheeks? blehhh**) ANYWAY. Back to the dance; it was pretty sweet. It was a (omg, now it's a super mario song - WTF?) video dance and there were 2 screens playing music videos, impressivve. The songs could have been better, and it could have been darker, and less monitored by all the teachers and yes: policemen (real police - not halloween costumes here people). All in all, it was a fun night and according to the principal "one of the best dances she's ever seen/been to since she came to our school". Nice job, kids. My costume was pretty sick-and emo-but thats okay. But it could of been alot better since I only had half an hour to glue zippers to my face and make myself look scary. Yup, you heard right; there were zippers on my face. To get into details, the zippers were under my eyes, and it was supposed to look like you could unzip my skin to expose the flesh underneath.

Every year, the day before school starts, I suffer from insomnia. Every year I tell myself, "Okay. If I try to go to bed early this week (week before school starts) I'll be able to sleep on the last night." It doesn't work. After what, 8 years or so, I've finally figured that out?! Gosh I am sooo slow.

This year I've devised a plan.... let's hope it works! :D

So 3 nights before school starts, I will sleep very very late. 2 nights before school starts, I won't sleep at all. On the last night, I'll be so tired, that I have to sleep! Isn't that like the smartest plan ever?! :D LOL, I can't wait to see it fail so badly....*sigh*.

Anyway, to my rare Zoot Pod readers, I'm sorry I haven't written practically all summer. I was busy with my k-pop addiction and BBF. But no more worries now! Since school is just around the bend, that means I'll have schoolwork. And with schoolwork comes procrastination, my friend. And I'm sure you can see where I'm going with this, don't you? MORE POSTS! :D So sit back, relax and enjoy all the zootiness the ZootPod has to offer. This year will be extra fun because you're probably going to see my highschool life go down in flames and: well yea that's it :)

agaagagagagaaaahh!!! SO today (Aug 12), I've successfully finished Japanese drama, Hana Yori Dango (HYD), and also Korean drama, Boys Before Flowers (BBF) last week! Yayyyy! I've decided to make a post comparing all the little things that are different within the two shows just because I felt like everyone was siding with HYD... heh heh heh...... :S
And uhh, Meteor Garden isnt in this cuzzz I havent watched it, anddd apparently its not loyal to the original manga, soo yah. Okay here we go!.... BIG ASE SPOILER(S) ALERT!!!

CAST!!!

Geum Jan Di (Goo Hye Sun)/Makino Tsukushi (Onoue Mao)

Okay, in these two pictures (their average-girl look) I think Onoue (Makino) looks alot prettier. The haircut they gave Hye-sun (Jan Di) totally makes her look BLEH which I think adds to BBF's awesomeness! :D Because isn't the main character supposed to be like ~~ugly~~ not pretty? Soo yah! Don't be hatin haters [of Jan Di]

Ahhaaha, now that I show you these, you're probably thinking Woah, Goo Hye-Sun (Jan Di) is really pretty! and so is Onoue (Makino)! YAH THAT'S WHAT I THOUGHT! So for all you peeps who think "the girl who plays Jan Di" is ugly, think again. Anyway, I just wanted to prove my point that both ladies are awesome, and suited for their roles. Well actually, I think Onoue is without question an extremely excellent Makino. She looks the part, she acts the part, she's got that chemistry with the people she should have chemistry with, and she's certainly loveable!
Geum Jan Di is more tomboy-ish than Makino, in my opinion, just because of the way she acts and also her voice. I think Jan Di is more hard working, so that's probably why she's my IDOL. Makino is more like an actual ordinary girl (and her laugh is so cute!), so I dunno, take your pick. I like Jan Di more just cause I think she's more inspiring and her character's unique. Also, Makino does this hopping up & down, raise the sleeves and punch move; whereareas, Jan Di does a kick-ase spin kick when beating up Jun Pyo or anyone else--all the more reason to love Jan Di :D!!!! The only thing that bothers me a little bit (this kills me to say, because I love Jan Di!) but I didn't exactly feel a strong connection between her and Jun Pyo. AND I KNOW IT'S NOT JUST ME (LIE! I don't know that). When I think about it, I can't find a reason why... it's just not there... sadly. I really don't think it's Jun Pyo's fault, he was brilliant, but maybe it was because I actually wanted her to be with Ji Hoo so much that it killed Jan Di & Jun Pyo's bond together.

Domyoji Tsukasa (Matsumoto Jun)/Gu Jun Pyo (Lee Min Ho)
Okay, so I'll just come out with it, I started watching BBF because of Lee Min Ho (I watched BBF before HYD) so yea, ofcourse, you're gonna know who I like better :)

I first heard of Lee Min Ho by accidentally clicking on the wrong video when I was going to listen to 2NE1's mini album. The video I clicked on was a commercial for Cass Beer 2X ft. Jessica Gomes. I looked him up, and saw that he was part of a show called Boys Before Flowers which was a Korean Version of Hana Yori Dango, which at the time my sister kept recommending me to watch (HYD, that is). I decided to first watch BBF first (I personally believe I was right to do so) and uhh yea, I fell in love with it! :)
Anyway, I think Matsumoto Jun as Domyoji is more mean-faced, a little bit more aggressive, violent, hilarious when giddy, and a very fast runner, haha (if you have or are planning to watch HYD, when I say he runs fast, I'm talking about the Ken chase scene). There's not much to criticise, he's pretty much perfect for the role, except for the really good looks, which Matsumoto's sort of aight.
Lee Min Ho (Gu Jun Pyo) is very good looking (!!!), less aggressive, and more well-built (that don't make sense...) soo he looks stronger and more intimidating. I like how he doesn't have to beat people up for you to know that he's angry, you just know!... maybe it's his eyes? His clenched fists? ... not really sure. He may not be as goofy as Domyouji over Makino, but he sure is brainless about stuff like Jan Di liking him. I like him for this role better than Matsumoto cuzzzzz.... he looks better?? andd idk, he got me into these two shows sooo yah.

Hanazawa Rui (Oguri Shun)/Yoon Ji Hoo (Kim Hyun Joong)

Okay so, now down to a very critical character, Hanazawa Rui (Oguri Shun) a.k.a. Yoon Ji Hoo (Kim Hyun Joong).
Huh, I dont really know how to word this... I guess you could say that this is one of the characters that I have been looking forward to comparing. Why? Well just cuz idk, some people say that that they like Oguri better, and others say they like Hyun Joong better (I'm one of them).

Hanazawa Rui is more of the cool but quiet guy, who's sort of a reserved playboy(he makes out with two random girls, soo yea.. I would call him a playaaa!) type guy; while Ji Hoo is an actual quiet guy who-is just as cool-but not that I know I'm cool but I dont show off about it cause I'm supposed to be nice too thing that Hanazawa Rui has goin on. You still following me? But anyway, they're basically the same, except....
In the looks department, Ji Hoo is so much cuter in my opinion, just cause his smile (:D) warms my heart to death, and I dunno, I guess I like his character more since he's shyer than Rui. But for those girls who don't like the really sheepish type dude, I'm sure you probably like Rui better, yea??

And I know if you've watched till ep 14 of BBF, and seen HYD first, you're all TEAM RUI, but please give him a chance, he gets better I swear!!!!!!!!! I'm telling you girls, if you don't love Ji Hoo by the end of the season, I'm gonna come to your house and kill you becasue OBVIOUSLY there's something seriously wrong with your brain.
In reality, it's all HYD's writers' faults for making Rui suckkkkk. He's too cool! Rui should be more sad and lonely, am I right? REDO PLEASE!

One more thing: Kim Hyun Joong (Ji Hoo) also looks better in reality, and is very talented. He plays bass, guitar, violin (or so I've seen?), and the piano (i think??). He is also the leader of a successful Korean boy band SS501, can dance, sing and act. How much more perfect can it get??

Well anyway, I guess both guys are pretty awesome! Points for both shows! :)

Nishikado Sojiro (Matsuda Shota)/So Yi Jeong (Kim Bum)

Another great casting job for BBF! Between the two guys, I most definetely like Kim Bum better, because he looks sooo good! :) Plus, I think Kim Bum is a better actor since he seems smoother with the ladies. My first thoughts on seeing Sojiro was No, no, no. What's with the walrus bangs?!
But after watching. Matsuda Shota is pretty good, I won't take anything away from him; the only thing is that I don't see him as a player as much as Yi Jeong. I mean really... A playboy who practices TEA CEREMONY? WTF?!? Makes no sense to meee. Okay, so maybe it's not really HYD's fault for making him a seducer in the the whole tea thing, since they were just following the manga, so I won't use that as an excuse for liking Yi Jeong better. I will however, use the fact that Sojiro didn't get much camera time with the ladies he was with, as an excuse, because that totally didn't help portray his womanizer character.
Yi Jeong did get the camera time he needed for that, so yay BBF! I liked how the BBF writers gave Yi Jeong more of a story. With the father also being a ladies man, and Yi Jeong's mom dying (I actually didn't understand that part, the story they gave him was kind of sloppy, really) and making him fall in love with Jan Di's bff, Ga Eul (this was very very good on BBF's part, cause they made such a great couple); it definitely helped BBF become more entertaining.

Mimasaka Akira (Abe Tsuyoshi)/Song Woo Bin (Kim Joon)

Akira is this couger player guy who likes older women and Woo Bin is uhh.... well... uhmmm.... the only F4 guy who considers himself to be embarrassing (WTF, mann?). The only real similarity between the two is that they're in the mafia because of their fathers!
I'm gonna start with Woo Bin first, kay? kay. When I started watching BBF, my first thoughts about Woo Bin were that he was just there to fill in the space of the 4th member of the F4. But then he said this wonderful sentence: WOO! Yo yo yo, wass-up man? -And instantly turned into a vital BBF character who was almost as important as the rest of the F4. And you know

what that means, right? 5/5 casting for BBF! Helllllll yea! PERFECT SCORE!!!! YAYA!! And even though, he didn't have as much attenion on him on the show, and was only given a small I embarrass you guys! (you guys meaing F4) plot, which was totally random, the F4 would not be the amazing BBF F4 we all have come to love. Plus, he and his band, T-Max sing the opening theme song, Paradise, which is effing addicting and perfect and all you can ask for.
Akira is boring, and I hate his hair. Sorry HYD. Other than the part where you see him break up with a woman who wants to marry him after he graduates, and how he charms the weird dango shop owner (where Makino, and Yuki work) the writers could have killed him off, and I wouldn't give a sh*t. Just being honest.

SO what should I tell you today? I have good news and bad (kind of) news. I'll start with the good.

Yesterday, I'm logging onto to one of my favourite websites, Stardoll.com, and yea just doing my regular stuff, when I remembered that I should check some Stardoll-based blogs to see if there are any new cheats or free stuff, or whatever. I go onto a site called http://www.gossip-stardoll.blogspot.com/ and the latest post stated,

BUT it was 4 in the morning, so I couldn't exactly go around the house running and screaming in joy. Oh my goodness, though, I was REALLY happy. Haha, and I bet you can guess what I did next..... I TWEETED IT! LOL! Ya so anyway, I'm all excited and and I wrote two posts (one was from my application)!

Okay, now the bad (kind of) news.

I'm giving up. No! Don't try to encourage me to keep going! CUZ I CAN'T. How am I supposed to keep coming up with new material, it's truly impossible. Anyway, I guess I'll try to keep in the competition (I'll probably be voted off soon), cuz it's pretty fun, and I can say that I tried. If I don't get chosen, I really don't care, so it's all good. I mean, just making it into the comp is good enough fo me, shawty! Plus, this blog is hard enough to manage anyway. My Lucky Star. Just the name, sounds corny... and would you say... a little dumb? Yea, I would say so. From the very first episode till nearly halfway through the season, this show has been a let down. But let me tell you RIGHT now those first couple of episodes? So worth it! All the boring stuff just accounts for a litttle relationship building and voila! After a while of that, the real show can start! My lucky star, about a woman Xia Zhi Xing or Ah Xing (whatevs) who used to be a con artist, selling fake high end jewelry, and scamming people. She meets this man Zhong Tian Qi, they fall in love, and well the rest falls apart there.

I haven't finished the season yet, and I really don't want to. In the time span of 5 minutes, it can get me to feel giddy, then sad, then completely frustrated (mostly that!), then sad again. I'm telling you right now, if you ever happen to watch this tangled web of a show unfold, every... i don't know, 10 minutes ATLEAST will have you going Don't you dare do that or I'm going to KILL YOU!

And if you don't like it at first I'm begging you, please don't give up on it, please give it to episode 12, at least!

Soo, I'm sure you've heard that this song is supposedly about Eminem. But ofcourse, I wasn't sure, so I went and dug up some info for yalls. Okay, back in 2001/2002 Mariah and Em were secretly dating or something and Eminem exposed to the media that they were together, once they broke up (2002). I guess he was all mad at her, and kept dissing her and whatnot, and then in his new album Relapse he raps in 'Bagpipes from Baghdad' Mariah, what ever happened to us, why did we have to break up… Nick Cannon better back the fuck up. I’m not playing, I want her back, you punk. Jeez, a little vicious Eminem! Sooo ya, if you want to know more you can read these articles where I got all the dirt I needed!

Hey.

So okay. I know I promised to blog about Asian stuff, but I just can't help it, when there is a new music video (i love to blog about those!) out there, sitting, waiting for me to post about their fabulosity, you know I gotta do it! It's mandatory procedure! IT'S A NECESSITY TO THIS BLOG.

So blame the nonasian-posts-that-i-said-i-wouldn't-write all on Lily Allen. Because she just came out with a new music video (in korea or some other asian place, they say 'MV'... that's something for ya!) so I had to break my promise, and that basically got me back into the world of new music videos. So sorry.

The music video is for her new song, '22'. Its supposed to be officially released on August 25, but the Zoot Pod is just soo exclusive (for you non-sarcastic peeps, I'm lying.) that I have the music video right HERE! Lily looks fabulous, and well, my only criticism is that don't really want to see her standing in front of the mirror for more than half the song! C'MONN!

I am sooooooooooooo exited for this coming week. So happy NOT to be in highschool, I get to have a freakin AMAZING Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. AHAHAHA! So on Monday, I play 3-pitch all day (hehe), then Tuesday is my birthday, and all the gr.8's at my school are having pizza in the park, then probably just getting all of our stuff from the year, since it's basically our last day there. Then, from Wendesday to Friday is our eighth grade grad trip - WOOOOOOOOOO!!! Then (sorry I keep using 'then' I'm just kind of lazy right now) comes weekend and on Monday, I go to school for half the day. The Gr.8's get clapped out, we leave, and then Gradutaion is that night. I can't wait! Summer is almost here, and well, I'm just biting my nails in anticipation until it's FINALLY here.

Also, I have a sudden urge to change my grad dress from a JS Collections (last season, blehhh) to a Richard Nicholl SS09 dress that I saw in his collection. It's sooo beautiful!!!!!!!

Pretty good ace-kicking day today! Okay let me start at Monday. My class is hit with 2 projects (and me, well I had 3 because I was late on one, due 2 weeks before...). One project was an Anthology, where you had to pick a topic and write a prologue, 2 journals, 5 or 6 poems, an essay, a short story, and an epilogue, all the while making it look like a scrapbook; the other project was for Geography, in which you had to pretend you were being forced out of Canada or the US, and had to pick 3 countries to move to, compare them, grade them, pick the one you thought best and write how and why you made your decision; and my extra project was also for Geography; it was supposed to be just a simple poster, but my friends and I were kindof dumb and decided to make a movie, which turned into an epic fail (the camera got soooo messed) and well, we ended up after filming EVERY SCENE WE NEEDED, dropping the project because the camera went wierd and had one night to do the poster project. Anyway, so I'm off to work for the rest of the week...blah, blah blah, and come Wednesday, I was like SHOOT. Everything's due tomorrow! (Because the teachers' deadline was Friday for Report Cards). So I was in major stress mode--because knowing me, I procrastinated and didn't do anything for all of Monday and Tuesday--and I pulled an all-nighter so I could finish my projects. Turns out, I only finished one [the Geo one (not the movie) that was very well done by the way] and was late for school, again. because I was picking up scrapbooking supplies for my anthology. When I got to school, the teachers organized this thing, so that if you were done ALL OF YOUR WORK you could go relax and watch movies. If not, you were in the computer lab working your butt off, or in other people's cases, socializing. I worked my butt off ofcourse, still didn't finish, and was pretty damn grumpy for when we did Track and Field (partly because I lost my lucky shoes for Track & Field, that I found back at home later that day) and refused to do anything. Then, on that night, I was planning to pull myself through another all-nighter, even though I knew the official Track & Field school meet was the next day, and I had no sleep the night before. I worked, worked, worked, like friggin hard, and accidentally fell asleep at 3 AM. I woke up at 7 AM, angry at myself for falling asleep, skipped breakfast, and finished the rest of the writing for my anthology. I got all that I needed (supplies, and everything) plus the stuff for track and field, and then headed to school. There, my teacher allowed me to work on my project in between events, and after doing this all day (and skipping all snack and lunch breaks), I finished, with about 40 minutes to spare! During that 40 minutes, we finished off the field events.

Unbelievably, I got through the day without passing out or falling asleep! I did all the events except the 15oo m, and the 800 m. I did about 15 minutes of high jump, with like 1 min set on me--because I jump from the left side, so lefties had to wait for the righties to finish their first jumps--made it, then left. *Sigh.* I wished I finished it!! I only jumped 1.05 m! Why did I leave??????? oh ya, 'cause their organizing was sh*t (I don't even want to go into details). I made the 100 m, relay team, running long jump, and (hopefully) triple jump!

YAYYYYYY! This was our last week of homework. Ugh, relieeffff!!!!! IM FREE.

Now, I'm going to eat. Then I'm going to sleep. PIISU.

Perez Hilton himself premiered the lavish new music video by the eccentric and grandiloquent Lady GaGa. The subject is “Paparazzi,” GaGa’s latest UK single. The song is easily the most personable track on The Fame, but far from my favorite. In his premiere blog post, the self-anointed Queen of All Media exclaims:

It is her strongest work to date. It is a mini-film. It is art. It is visual pornography. It is satire. It is commentary. It is brilliant!

Aside from the visual pornography remark (what the hell is that Perez?), Queen P is not far off the mark. This indeed is GaGa’s strongest video to date. It is certainly an entertaining mini-film, reminiscent of Michael Jackson’s love affair with 15-minute-film making. The video is definitely commenting on what it is to be famous in this day and age, and Lady GaGa makes fun of the silly idea by busting a Britney.

Hopefully with this video GaGa finally got her point across — the same statement that is riddled throughout her album:

This idea of ‘The Fame’ runs through and through. Basically, if you have nothing—no money, no fame—you can still feel beautiful and dirty rich. It’s about making choices, and having references—things you pull from your life that you believe in. It’s about self-discovery and being creative. The record is slightly focused, but it’s also eclectic. Urrggh, I sort of hate how The Zoot is turning into a crappy music blog. I need variety!!!!!! But I have two new music videos for you today, so blehhhhhhhh.

The Pussycat Dolls have a new single! Their second single from Doll Domination 2.0. (Never heard of it? Me neither.) When I hear this new single from The Pussycat Dolls, I don't really know what to think. It had some disco-modern flare to it, and a cover of I Will Survive but I'm not sure if I like it or not. For now though, it kind of sucks. Disco is not exactly for them, but whatever... they did this to themselves.
~~Also, it was fun, and different for the Pussycat Dolls~~ - and OMG THEY NEED TO KICK NICOLE OUT OF THE LEAD POSITION!!! I am sooooo sick of her. I think she's the reason behind me sort of not liking them right now. She's holding them back. Leave Nicole!!! Buuttttt..... I have to admit, she sounds pretty good here.
But honestly, I really don't know if this song's gonna be a hit or not. We'll just have to wait and find out, I guess. The video, I love though; and the dancing was awesome, as always! It's directed by Rich Lee, who also directed Fergie's Clumsy video. :)

HEIDI PRATT?! Really? Heidi Pratt? NOOOO! Just keep it Heidi Montag pleasee. I can't even begin to tell you about the video for her new song. It's like, another Higher. Omg, it's Higher Pt. 2. I'm not kidding! And the song - it really wasn't all that bad, but the video - What. The. Fuddggge. Her.. her birdhands, her awful lip-synching, and her seeming-to-be-trapped-in-a-cage type movement. Like really, she looks so awkward, lying on that hammock. And then the rope. What the heck is with that? Is it supposed to be some type of new stripper pole, because it really is not working for me. Really. Also, I'm having a huge problem with the person filming this - oh gosh, it's horrible.

Urgghh. I want to punch out this screen right now, and trash my room. .................................... WHY AM I SO FREAKING MAD?!!?!?!?!??! Like right now, I want everyone to shut. the. f*ck. up. RIGHT NOW. shut up!!!! Deep breaths don't do sh*t for me. Like ughhhhhhh I'm losing ittttt. Everybody is exceedingly bothering me right this instant. I can't take itt!!!! Like why am I rolling my eyes at everything everyone says? Why do I even care???? URRRGHHHHHHH. THIS MAKES NO SENSE.
A vast majority of this I'm-mad-at-you mood I'm in, goes to my dad, who is killing my buzz for sure. Why? Oh I don't know why. You tell me why. No. The big guns upstairs knows why. *Breathe. Breathe.* Let me guess... Well, I think this all started when I got home, and my dad said something about how I eat too much. Oh yeah. That was definetely it. I think I was in a grumpy mood cuz i was tired from working (almost) all day and vacuuming with this huge, heavy-*ss vazuum that was blowing hot air at me and making me fustrated as heck. So of course when i finally get home, my dad makes that remark, and strike! You're out. Now I'm pissed. This actually happened four hours ago, but over that time period in between my dad managed to squeeze in the same comment about me (and others) two more times. How delightful. Then during dinner, he's telling me that Mars has water on it and how the weather is cold. "It's like -100 C there." is exactly what he said actually. He also is watching some movie with Kate Beckinsale (that he wouldn't tell me the name of the movie) and he basically kept saying this: "oh this guy. Crazy! He`s so crazy. AAAHH! oh noo! What is he doing? He's crazy! Oh, he's crazy. This guy. People are crazy. Oh my gosh, what's he gonna do? Oh no!! He's gonna kill her. He's crazy!" So. Do you see what I'm getting at? Ya. Okay. Crazy. I rolled my eyes at that quite a few times, and he probably saw... yikes!

Okay. I'm not going to go on and rant about this anymore. But basically I wanted him to shut the beep up. But it's all good now. I feel better. Yay! Therapy!

Okay, on Sunday, the last day of my long weekend, my mom was off work, soo we decided to go to Toronto. We went to Yorkddale mall anddd I had a frikken awesome time! I went to H&M and bought a purple dress, then to Foot Locker where my sister got two pairs of shoes (one Puma's, one Nike's), then I went to HMV while she went to try her new sneaks [Super comf! (The City, anyone?)] and I bought Twilight in 3 DISC DELUXE! :O Yess, I'm crazy I know, leave me alone!--I haven't even opened it yet. But that's not all.

To top it all off, I also bought.....wait for it....... THE NEW METRIC CD, FANTASIES!!!!!!! It really was the cherry on top of the cake. And, Oh. My. Gosh. It is astronomicallly amazing. Like absolutely no bad songs. The songs do kind of sound quite similar, but still, seperately you'll notice the differences, and they're all really superb. My favourite songs off the album, would have to be Satellite Mind, Gold Guns Girls, Collect Call and Front Row. Currently in order as:
1. Gold Guns Girls
2. Collect Call
3. Satellite Mind
4. Front Row
But they're all pretty much high up there as my faves.
Worst song? (still awesome, mind you) Stadium Love. When a good song is one of the worst songs, that's gotta mean it's gooooddd. Like Tootsie-Roll, skittles loving good.
But down to the real critism. Fantasies sounds alot like Live It Out--ya ya, that's their sound, that's what they're best at, I get it. But I kindof want more of the Old World Underground... material. I don't know, just me. (You might be wondering; is there even a difference between OWU and LIO? Yes, there is indeed.) Uhmm, like the Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs; they sort of changed their sound a bit, and it worked out nicely for them! I mean, It's Blitz is really good. So if Metric is going to have a next album (hopefully they will, but let's not get ahead of ourselves) I think they may need to reinvent themselves a little. Don't ask me how, but I'm sure they'll find a way because I mean, It's Metric, people. They're magical.

The intoxicating, infectious singles, Help, I'm Alive and Gimme Sympathy (can I just say I hate that gimme! You're not Britney Spears, Metric.) are definitely good songs, but the one that's stuck with me the most is probably Collect Call, although it's not my #1 favourite on the album. It's one of those slow-to fast songs that I really love, and the lyrics are great, kind of reminds my of Dead Disco probably because 'disco', and in Collect Call, Haines sings 'got to make them move'. Emily is great as always, her voice nicely contrasts with a pretty guitar-based instrumental sound.

Fantasies, is pretty upbeat, the only real ominous song would have to be Blindness. The lyrics are simple enough to be incredulously deep. But uhmm, all in all, Fantasies is more of a head-bobbing, finger-tapping album, not really an album that will change your life, but a still a good one to listen to on a night with no stars. So, you keep your fantasies till then.

Yea, uhm, because of my genuine uncreativeness, I just took the same title as someone else, sooo... please don't tell me I love your title. It ain't mine!

Okay, Eminem's new comeback video after a... 4? 5 year hiatus? is "We Made You". The song andd video is somewhat irritating seeing as I've seen Eminem do this a million times over and over again. When will it end with him??!!? I thought it already did, but I guess I was wrong. Truthfully, I kindof like the song... orr, maybe it's becasue BOBBY LEE IS IN THE VIDEO!!! Wahhh??? I know. Crazy. A little annoying, yes, but still just as awesome as ever. I think Crack A Bottle should've been Slim Shady's first single (after his break). I mean, it's way more mature and modern, i guesss, becasue 2009 is the fucha ofcoursee.

New Where the Wild Things Are poster, you guys. Perhaps a little more conservative than the original, no screaming children or artfully cropped monster faces, just your typical fantastical creature hiding behind a scratched up tree in a mystical autumn forest. You know, movie poster stuff. No, this is so great. What a great poster.

It's almost getting to the point where I want this movie to make at least one mis-step. Like, say, a furry promotional condom. And on the inside of the package it says "UNLEASH YOUR BEAST." Just to get expectations back in line with reality. After a heart-crushing trailer, and two great posters, things are already getting out of hand. Judging by the Internet reaction, America is thisclose to having Where the Wild Things Are replace Barack Obama as president of the United States, and the internet LOVES Barack Obama.

Whatever. Let's just be excited, right? Let's Paint, Exercise, and Be Excited about Where the Wild Things Are, in theaters October 16, 2009. We can do it all!

Oh, my, Keri Hilson, you too, are also GREAT! You come seeping into everyone's ipods on The Way I Are and then you go solo. And you've been doing freaking amazingly. Energy your first single, was super good, and thennn Return The Favour which was like awesome, I love that song. You then come up with Turnin' Me On feat. Lil Wayne which is extremely infectious, and a grower at that. Now, on to your fourth single, Knock You Down which is a little weak, but still just as good as your other songs.

In the video, I was kindof confused as to why Kanye West was comfortable doing those touchy scenes. You know, with his heartbreak and all? anh.

Have you seen this movie trailer yet? Where The Wild Things Are?! Omg! It looks reallyyy good! I think the movie is based on the book " ", which I remember reading in like Kindergarden - it's a seriously epic book. And the monsters here, too, I'm glad they stay true to their original forms (yay!) and well, the boy here looks absolutely perfect for the role. I didn't even know the children's book was made into a movie. I'm actually totally excited to see this - I hope it comes to my town!

Twilight is Intoxicating! AHHH!

So you'll never guess what I laid my eyes on yesterday. Twilight. Isn't that the most randomest movie to watch? Especially on March 21 2009? I thought so. But apparently, not everyone thinks the same, seeing as I went to Walmart to buy the movie, and it was sold out. What a suprise, what a drag. But my dad came home, and suprised me with a rented copy of the movie from Blockbuster.

When I first saw the movie, I thought, "Wow. This movie sort of sucks. I mean, I want to like it, but I can't seem to." Well, that thought is LONG GONE. I actually really like that dang movie (but it still sucks in a way). Like, the movie is not so great, but it is also like really good at the same time. It's intricate, so that the first time you see it, it's aight, but then by the second time, it uses its little vampire powers to lure you in. And now, I'm hooked. Like HOOKED, BUDDYY. Gosh, I'm so obsessed with this movie. It almost makes me mad.

Anyway, I just wanted to go through a few parts of the movie for you all a.k.a. ME. Also, this post might contain spoilers! So watch out!

1) When Bella first walks into biology class, she sees that Edward is in that class too. As she's looking at him, she walks by a fan that blows her "scent" towards him, and he smells it, and is so repulsed (er, seems to be). Like, "What is that horrible stench? Ugh! Bella! Wear some deoderant! Gosh, you REEK!!! OMG OMG OMG, YOU SMELL SO BAD. OMG!!" His expression was funny.

Check out this guy, looking at Bella, lol, idky but it makes me laugh!

2) When Edward finally talks to Bella, he's supposed to be all polite and stuff, but instead he just looked and sounded like some foreign kid! OMG! This was the funniest thing ever! "Hello!" is what Edward says below.

4) In the movie, when you first see Carlisle (Edward's Dad), he makes this like grand entrance into the hospital room to check up on Bella. Ahahaha, its like the best simplest entrance ever.

Edward's brother, Emmett is a little odd too. Haha, he was just standing there, and then another brother parks the car, and Emmett jumps out and walks off--book in hand--like that was normal.

5)Taylor Lautner looks hunkier with long hair. Haha, I laughed alot when I saw him with long hair. He doesnt look too bad in this pic, but in the movie, he looks really bizarre.

6)Taylor plays Jacob Black in the movie, who is a Quileute Indian/Aboriginal, and in the movie, as he is telling Bella the legend of how the Quileutes descended from werewolves, they show this wonderful scene:
YES I'M SURE, THAT BECAUSE THEY DESCENDED FROM WOLVES THAT THEY WORE TRIBAL WOLF HATS.
"Oh wise one, we must show our brotherhood with the wolves by wearing these..."
"Good idea, young Gelar."
Oh cut the crap! The costume peeps did NOT have to put in those hats. But it was funny.
Also, another problem with the legend scene...

7) Lol! Apparently this guy is thinking about cats. "Doesn't he look like he's thinking about cats?!" -Catherine Hardwicke.

And lastly, Eric in the movie, one of Bella's friends who is played by Justin Chon, weirdly resembles Onch or "OnchMovement"(<--Youtube) from the reality TV show "Paris Hilton's My New BFF". Also, don't you find it peculiar that Justin's last name is CHON; the same letters used in ONCH. What's up with that huh? If they're not the same person, they're definitely long lost twin brothers. FO SHO.

MMM, another yum song song for you, called "Time Lapse Lifeline",perfect timing for spring, eh? eh? Uhh, I actually heard this song a while back, but just kind of forgot about it. And then, I got desperate; I was seriously annoyed of all the songs I listened to. So, I looked it up, and I was like, heck ya.

Uhm, the artist, Maria Taylor, she feels like an old breath of fresh air. Like its still fresh, but I've breathed it before, I've seen it before. I could easily relate her to Regina Spektor (except much less corky), Feist, Cat Power, just to name a few. Also, she looks like that teen Mag, Seventeen--their old editor-in-chief, that alpha kitty person.

So guess what? Spring Break's OVER, and I have school tomorrow. YAY. And all I've blogged about was Slumdog Millionaire; what great progress I've made (especially for fash week) wouldn't you agree? Hmmm.

Anyway, I've got a wonderful song for you. Its fairly new (not really though, I lied) uhm, and uhh yea, its just good. I'm sorry, I'm just being a lazy butt crack right now. I don't want to say anything, and my leg is numb; seeing as I'm sitting nearly-Budha style on a small stool at the moment. Yeah (sigh) the song is really schveet, it really caught my attention when I first heard it. At the time, I was readinga book, and this song comes on the TV Radio and I was like ".....WHOA!" I look up. "This..song...is...freaking...good." So I go onto to Youtube, favourite the song, plan to blog about it, instead I read and watch movies, five days later: HERE I AM! And I'm sure you dont give an eff about this story, regardless. But whatever. I don't give an eff about you. There you have it. Great song. And video, lets not forget.

Oh man, Slumdog Millionaire. You can do no wrong. Sigh. Let me just reminisc and absorb the greatness of this movie. ------------
Alright, I'm good. Frigg, this movie was AWESOME. No - more than that. This movie was on FREAKING FIRE! From start to finish: amazing. Like, I have nothing to say, really. Okay, not true. What I was going to say was that it was almost completely different from the novel. Like yeah yeah, they change some things from a book when they make a movie version. But this movie had barely anything realated to the book. And I like it that way. My prediction was right; it was definitely fo-sho-ly based on love. I mean you really cannot argue with that. The characters were changed (sort of) and it was just not what I expected. Regardless, Slumdog Millionaire was GRRREAT! - Kelloggs Frosted Flakes style, my friend.

Haha, so I get to see Slumdog Millionaire TODAY and I'm queasily overly EXUBERANT!! I already bought and read the book, and it was like astronomical, like holy sh*t amazing! And I don't, I'm just very excited right now :))))))))).
Deep Breath, Estella. Yeah, that's it. Breathe. Just Breathe.
Oh man, I wanna see Slumdog!!!
And one thing, I don't really get - in the novel, the game show the guy is on is called "Who Will Win A Billion" or 3WB. If its about winning a billion dollars, then why is it called Slumdog MILLIONAIRE. Like, gosh, get it right! Another thing that they probably changed into movie version is the story theme. Like I think the movie is about destiny and love and all that, but the book, let me tell you has like, only HALF of a (long) chapter about love.
P.S. Like I hate to brag (er is this even considered bragging?!) but my sister's friend's second cousin is that girl in the picture above. She is I'm guessing a main character because, well she's on the movie poster cover thing, and well yea, I just know. Uhm, her name is Freida Pinto and she plays Nita, the prostitute, Ram Mohammad Thomas' love. OH MY GOSH I WANT TO SEE THIS MOVIE!

Anyway, I guess I'll just settle for this remake of some song from the movie from the Pussycat Dolls.

And I'm not gonna rate this song, becasue its not really a music post.

I've already talked about this song before. You know, the controversial title, blah blah, blah, (not really that OMG anymore, I mean - we get it.) but this time I have the video to back me up.
My critique? Uhm, the usual. The video is what you'd expect for this king of song, dirty, nasty, sexy (er, suppoed to be.) with the news reports, and dancing and choreography and stuff. Uhh, I thought the dancing was little odd, I'm not gonna lie, and I'm gonna guess that the choreography is by Wade Robson? I don't know. Seemed like it. Buuttt, then again, It did seem to go with the whole circus theme? Maybe I'm wrong. Anyway, the video takes an unlikely turn of events, that I didn't expect by the last chorus Brit sings. She turns all goody-goody by the end, and faces the paparazzi with cookies, and a smile. But people still want to F.U.C.K her.

Urghh! I've been waiting all last week for the weekend so I could catch up on New York, London, and now MILAN fashion week, and to catch up on a whole bunch of music. A photo of what is reportedly Rihanna's face with bruises, scratches and swelling has appeared online.

Celebrity website TMZ.com is reporting the photo was taken after Rihanna's boyfriend, Chris Brown, allegedly beat her earlier this month following the Clive Davis pre-Grammy party.

In reaction to the release of the photos Los Angeles Police Department issued a statement saying that the "unauthorised release of a domestic violence photography immediately generated an internal investigation", adding that its leak was "considered serious misconduct with penalties up to and including termination".

Brown was arrested in Los Angeles on February 8 after the pair cancelled their appearances at the Grammy Awards that night, as previously reported. The teenage singer, who issued a public apology earlier this week, is still under investigation for domestic violence charges.

I'm a pretty small fan of Miley Cyrus, I mean, I try to like her, but its really difficult. But I'm rooting for her. Especially after her asian candid photo "scandal". Whatevss. So she has a new video for her Hannah Montana movie, and well, there it is below!

No I'm kidding, that's not all I'm going to say....uhhmm, the song is all 'inspirational' or a kidd-y attempt, at that. Disney always seems to have either one or the other: a sad attempt at a pop-dance song, or a childish inspirational song. This one, I would say isss that second one (yeah, you just listen up!). Miley's voice is getting better, I guess, I don't know, andd she sounds pretty good when she's not yelling. I wouldn't really say this song is for moi, I'm not really one for country or any country-ish style, but I'm hella sure Miley's err Hannah's (Montana's) fans will like the song. Oh! And before I forget, I'll just squeeze this little part in there: this song was performed at the Kids Inaugural for Barack Obama! Woo!

F/W 2009 - Yigal Azrouël Brings Back The Cold.

The second show of the official F/W 2009, Yigal Azrouel brought back the leaving cold of winter indeed. I personally never heard of this designer - I'm a rookie, hello?! But man, was this collection ever beautiful. I really enjoyed flipping through pics of the show (haha) and was just suprised that I JUST discovered him.

The collection was layered but nicely, not too much. And Yigal showed a whole bunch of capes, and voluminous sleeves, and whatnot in dark, rich colours, heading into a cool gothic-y sort of look. Apparently, that's his sort of 'style' but whatever; style is style, and this guy has good styleee. :)

I see ankle boots are still going strong, and I really like how this was styled black on black on black.

Mmmmmmmm.

Gosh, I love this dress!

I'm really bad at this critiquing thing, but I think this menswear style thing is growing on me. Annd it looks really nice on the model!

I think this dress is so pretty! I really like the colour and the puffiness of the sleeve. Yummy!

Today is the last day of my long wekend - NOOOOOOO! Ugh, don't you just hate that part? I'm feeling like that lazy blob of laziness again, and I have done NATA homework all weekend! I'm so failing, because I can't do much today, since I left my freaking text book at school! ANNNNNHH! I don't want to do anything. Nope. Ughh, I don't even want to type right noww. Yesterday, I watched Nick and Norah's playlist - yay! Uhm, it was sortof minimalistish but I liked it! Me, loving New York City, added to my liking of the film because that''s where it was. Anddd, I ddon't know, I just liked it. And the music. I'm ll about the music. Infactually, I'm looking up the soundtrack right now!

This video is called "Teen Lovers" by The Virgins - which is one of my favourite bands everrrrr. Gosh, I love them so much. I also love Metric, but that's irrelevant. The Virgins have been criticized for the absence of depth of life and what not in their lyrics, but I mean, who cares? A person likes what they like, and I not only like them, I love them!! (I always say that, but this time I REALLY mean it). I don't think any other sort of lyrics or more 'mature' videos would suit the band - NOT saying that they are immature er whatever, no, not at all. I'm just saying I like where the band is right now, and if they can build off of where they are, and what they're doing, that's magnifique.

You know I'm always there for you with new music veos right? Ok, no you don't still. I have a new one AGAIN for you! This time, it's another Lady Gaga, haha, and it's called "Love Games".

It's a very intriguing song from which I have heard from her album "The Fame" back in the summer. Gosh, I am just loving this girl so much more every single time I see her! The video showcases Gaga kissing another ladyy (here come "oohs" and "aahs" and dont forget *gasp!*)and it just further proves my belief of Gaga being a bisexual. What?! Is this a surprise for you? Well, it shouldn't be. The video is basically her dancing around with a whole bunch of guuys, and her at the end doing the "cameltoe" (at which I was doing at my school's dance today...).
Anyway, lees about the video, more about the song, alright? Mmm, there's not much to say about the song other than, "I Like It!" and then make that queasy smile of yours when you've discovered something new. I would say it's that type of DYNAMITE pop song, you know the kind that becomes uber-popular. It's not really the type of song that would change your life, or whatever, but its definetely a club-banger.

New York Fashion Week: F/W 2009 - Starting...NOW!

AHAA! Sooo, been waiting for this time for a long time (what a funny snetence)! ITS FASHION WEEK AND IT STARTS NOW! [well, actually it started earlier today...] This is my first ever OFFICIAL fashion week I've covered on The Zoot, so I'm really excited. Oh, and that previous post where I spoke about Nathan Jenden, yeah, just forget about that yes? YES! Be prepared for (hopefully) a bea-U-tiful seven days of fashion week coverage! AGAGA!

Anyways, today we had shows from a whole bunch! It oofficialy starts with The Heart Truth's Red Dress Collection, and ends the day tonight with a Venexiana show. But I can only cover so much! I mean it is a long weekend, but I do have homework to be done! So let's start, shall we?

First up, as previously mentioned, The Heart Truth's Red Dress Collection! The includes the likes of Amanda Bynes, Hilary Duff, and Tory Spelling - just to name a few. The show had dresses that were of course red, and sort of 'annhhh.." to me. Nothing really caught my eye, and I just found the whole thing boring. Even seeing celeb faces didn't help the show from going downhill. I don't know, maybe the dresses were just to not my liking, and maybe you actually had to be there to see the dresses for what they really are. But at least the funds go to a good cause!
But as always, there were some stand out dresses, like Katie Couric's dress by Carmen Marc Valvo, Tori Spelling's Betsey Johnson dress, and Valerie Bertinelli's Christian Siriano dress.

Gosh, I feel exuberant right now with that slice of satisfaction pie I just gobbled up - down. ALL AROUNDD! Sooo, brand new music videoo coming from my favourite ladiess; THE PUSSYCAT DOLLS! Oh! Wait. Second favourite ladies - girlicious is numba one. So anyways, back to the song. At first I have to say, I was listening to it, and right off the bat, I thought, 'Eugh. I don't really like this song.' But once I was saw the video, I think the song just suddenly had a much greaterimpact on me. I was then like, 'Wow! This song is great!` And it was, sortof. Pretty much. I feel like it makes Nicole AND the group seem really strong and powerful. And personally, I think the original version - the one with Snoop Doggy Dog - is 10X better. YEAAH! Sooo, here`s the video!

P.S. It does get very repetitive - i just realized! Hmm, my likenes of this song should be reconsidered...

Lady Gaga's FOURTH video installment, yes, fourth is out! :) It's called Eh Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say), and I personally think, it's not one of her strongest songs, though I completely understand that she can't always have upbeat singles. At least she could have put out Brown Eyes, or Again Again! Not this one, no. Hmmm...maybe I'll grow accustomed to it later, but in the meantime, here's her new video!

Oh, and while I'm at it; if you haven't heard Lady Gaga's Poker Face in piano version, then you must here it below! I absolutely love it! :)

Rihanna, lately I've been seeing her and her songs popping up all over Youtube, and I thought, it'd be cool to have a post with all her song leaks from possibly her new album, or maybe songs that didn't make it to the other albums. Anyways, here they are: (there are alot)

This one is supposedly a new one. Uhh... I really like it?

Uhm, this song, it doesn't really have that appeal, but I think...it may...be growing...on...me. OH GOSH NO, WHAT IS HAPPENING TO MY MUSIC TASTE! I mean, it sounds really raw, which I think is what I like about it, but at the same time, it sounds really messy and unfinished. Whatever.

Dannggg. This one was really hard to find in full version on Youtube. It's not very impressive, but at least it's better than "How I Like It"! So maybe there still is hope for the album, yet!

CHRIS BROWN - PICTURE PERFECT:

Hah! This actually doesn't have Rihanna in it, but it seems the song could be about her. So, I just threw it in this heap for fun.

Anyway, there are a whole bunch of others, but they are not sung by her. They're just dems, that are waiting to be sung by her. Poor songs. PRobably crying, "Rihanna, sing me first! Record me first!" -"NO! ME!" I think her album will be released in mid March,and I'm pretty excited, like this is me: BUYING IT! Gosh, this woman needs to take a break.

When I first heard Kelly Clarkson’s “My Life Would Suck Without You,” I wasn’t really feeling it. Embarrassingly, that has changed — like complete 180, people. And I blame Dr. Luke! That guy has a knack of writting THE MOST infectuous pop tunes (Kelly’s “Since U Been Gone,” Britney’s “Circus,” and Katy Perry’s “I Kissed A Girl”). I guess, more than anything, I was upset with the musical direction Kelly was begining to take… I sort of expected a Pink-ish return (a la “Sober” or “Who Knew”). But why should I have expected a Pink copycat? [A Nickelback copycat] Something semi-original works fine.
Maybe it works more than fine, because “My Life” has done something a pop-juggernaut like “Since U Been Gone” has never been able to do: go No. 1. Not only that, but skyrocketing to No. 1 in style! According to Billboard, Kelly Clarkson jumps 96 spots to the penthouse (97-1), beating out Britney Spears’ old-record breaking 96-1 jump. This is the 21323rd time this record has been broken in the last 6 months. Someone needs to jump 100-1 already so there cant be anymore “Record Breaking Jump!!!”-stories. But good going Kelly. Welcome back (or welcome back to Top 5 single land — yeah, My December never did that — HA!). This single alone guarantees Kelly’s new LP, All I Ever Wanted a number one spot! That and also the fact that her only competition the week of March [17th is Lionel Richie] 10th is Chris Cornell and fellow Idol winner Taylor Hicks (who along with Rubin Studdard, shame the American Idol title). So congrats in advance, Kelly!

[Lykke Li - Tonight]

Not sure if I’ll ever get enough of Lykke Li. I don’t post music videos here often, but I think I’m going to start to. “Tonight,” which appears on the US release of Lykke Li’s debut Youth Novels, has one of the most budgeted music videos of the year, seriously.

But what I would have never guessed is how artistic a “one shot/static background” (as Stereogum puts it) music video could be. Lykke Li’s facial expressions and bearly-there fidgeting brings in all of the raw emotion that a video with a $10,000 or $50,000 price tag offers.

I posted the video for Lykke Li’s “Tonight” a few days ago and noticed that the version on the video was different than the version on the album. She seems to be singing the song live just for the video (which is really cool, by the way).

I love Kanye West, and I've been meaning to blog about this song for a while now, and now that The Zoot is in like, music mode - why not talk about it now? the song is once, again in that techno voice (which isn't a bad thing, it's just...you know), and the video's meh. Regardless of what I say, go Kanye! :)

So, Britney Spears newest released single, "If You Seek Amy" has been rolling up some controversy, with the song's title spelling out F.*.*.K. Me :
Radio stations are breaking some kind of law or whatever if they play this song between 6 AM to 10 PM. So they're playing cleaner version of it saying, 'if you see amy." I think whatever, kids, if they hear the song, they'll probably think it's about a girl named Amy. Actually, to be honest I thought it was about a girl named Amy, and my sister was like, "WTF?! I don't get this song." And I just shrugged, cuz I didn't really care. It's a great song, and whatever and that's all that really matters to me. Well, now that I think about it, I do care what the meaning of a song is...

Ahhaha, I don't really know what to say about this song...
Jahfus, a new artist (I think) who is Jamaican, but proudly CANADIAN!! is I think an new artist to watch. I hope to see some radio, or TV airplay from him, because I haven't and Ray-J (singer Brandy's brother) is just amzing, I 've been seeing him around a few songs lately. I think he'll become a new featured artist. You know, those artists like Akon, T-Pain, Lil Wayne, those people who are frequently featured on songs. Nonethelss, great song!
